On 21 July, a delegation from the Municipality of Camaçari (Bahia – Brazil), was present in Oliveira de Azeméis, at the invitation of PTC Group. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen commercial ties and identify investment opportunities for companies interested in expanding their activities in Brazil.
During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to get to know the reality of the municipality of Oliveira de Azeméis and bridges were created for the first commercial agreements. Green energy was also highlighted in the discussions.
PTC Group, which already has investments in Brazil, announced plans to open its third technical-vocational school, PTC Academy, in Camaçari, Bahia. The company already has similar schools in Oliveira de Azeméis and Belo Horizonte. Tiago Monteiro, CEO of PTC Group, emphasised the importance of the company’s growth in Brazil, especially in the automotive sector.
Joaquim Jorge, Mayor of Oliveira de Azeméis, showed interest in future cooperation agreements between the two municipalities and praised the visit of the Brazilian delegation as an opportunity to strengthen commercial ties and friendship between Portugal and Brazil.
PTC Group has been investing in growth in Brazil, growing from 40 employees to 700. With the opening of the third PTC Academy in Camaçari, the company aims to meet the growing demand for technical training in the country. The CEO, Tiago Monteiro, expects to return to the company’s headquarters in Oliveira de Azeméis at the end of the year, after dedicating time to developing the company in Brazil. He also emphasises the importance of strengthening commercial relations with Mexico and the United States in order to expand Portuguese knowledge and the services offered by PTC Group across borders.
